Trekking this time of the year with the colors can be absolutely enlightening. The panoramic views to the East , North and South are spectacular once one reaches the summit of Bristol Mountain.
Those wishing to have a hard aerobic workout can go straight up the mountain using the Rocket, Sunset or Meteor trail. Be prepared that anyone contemplating this approach must be in good shape and be prepared with clothing appropriate for the current conditions and the changes that could occur over time. Rest with a packed in lunch can be accomodated on the picnic tables at the Sumit Demo Center deck. Pack out all of your trash please! Going down can be very precarious, especially if you are tired. Please be careful.
For the less strenuous approach one can take the Infinity to Eclipse trail to Shooting Star, Morning Star, or Nova. Taking the branch off of the junction of Shooting Star to Sunbelt will bring you to the Summit Demo Center deck where one can relax with a packed in lunch. Remember, that you need time to go down and the path taken up is the appropriate one to take down.
Enjoy yourselves and be considerate of others. Other than during Fall Sky Ride normal operating hours there is not emergency staff on hand at the resort. Trek at your risk and be prepared for changeable weather conditions.
